Jan. 31: Argentinean striker Javier Saviola has been with Barca for more than five years, but has failed to become a first-team regular, he told La Nacion: “I was criticised in the summer for my decision to stay here, but despite the stiff competition I
have been able to earn a regular starting place and I am extremely happy with my decision. The most important thing for a player is feeling useful for his club. As for my future, my priority is still remaining at Barcelona. I am waiting for the
club to offer me something, otherwise I shall have to look elsewhere.”
